- Rain– Yup. They hate it alright, Mikki being no exception. Which suits me because I hate it too and I certainly don’t want to go out for a walk in it. He’ll whinge, shake, whinge, shake some more and sometimes won’t do his necessary business in wet conditions. He also forgets his lead training and I get taken for a walk instead. Why is this you may ask? Dunno, maybe he doesn’t like rain because it makes his beloved owner upset? Pah! More likely to be that they hate the feeling of those evil raindrops tapping their precious butts 🌧🌧🌧😥.
- Wind– 🌪Being the sensitive little souls that they are, strong winds really get their back up (literally) making my Mikki, once again, forget his lead training *rolls eyes*. Nope. They cannot deal with that scary wind getting all up in their precious faces..
- Being too hot or too cold– By now, you’re probably thinking “do Min Pins hold a grudge against the elements?” Haha but in all seriousness they don’t like extremes of temperature. A sunny day upwards of 18 degrees, they get a bit overheated and start to pant, even though they have very short coats. Having said that my Mikki loves to sunbathe but indoors. He’ll find some rays coming in through the window and set himself up in that spot. In Spain, he didn’t enjoy being directly in the sun at all. Its little wonder how the precious thing survived. Yes, they hate cold which makes sense as their coat is very short although Mikki will tolerate the cold better than direct sun.
- Ignoring them– The little darlings want your attention ALL. THE. TIME. Dare to ignore them because you’re busy living life? 🥺😠Well you’d better drop everything or else they’ll stare at you (and possibly whinge) until you acknowledge their existence.
- Playing hide and seek– If your Min Pin is anything like a typical one, he’ll panic if you leave his sight for even a moment. Min pins will have fun running off and being a terror if allowed off the lead but they always need to know where you are. I sometimes (sadistically) like to hide behind a tree and wait for the furry boy to notice I’ve vanished *tee hee*. Its comical for him to stop what he’s doing, stand still as a statue with nothing but his head spinning around on its axis trying desperately to locate my whereabouts.
- Disciplining them– They really do believe it’s their God-given right to do whatever they want, whenever they want therefore what can be more of a betrayal that you’ve decided they’re doing wrong and tell them off? Go figure. 🤷🏾♀️
